The Treasury Mint opens a shop and collects gold. Thus, it is gearing up for the second wave

A new store was opened in Katowice. It will operate as an outlet under the “Mennica Krajowa” brand. It is a stationary version of the company’s online store, which also sells outlet products

In this way, the company wants to benefit from the growing sales trend in Poland for this product group and the investment metals market segment.

As the company informs in a press release, in the first half of 2020, Mennica Skarbowa sold about 1000 kg of gold, which is twice as much as in the first half of 2019.

– By expanding our stationary sales network, we are responding to customer demand, which remains at a high level. We have opened a branch in Katowice and we do not rule out more in Poland – says Jarosław Żołędowski, President of the Management Board of Mennica Skarbowa.

– But at the moment our priority is to buy a large amount of gold. In preparation for market turmoil and a pandemic disruption of supply, as we did just a few months ago, we are accumulating large amounts of gold in our treasury, he adds.

The president is also convinced that MS currently has the largest stocks of bullion among domestic dealers. In doing so, it ensures that the company will be better prepared for the “potential market turmoil” associated with the second wave of the pandemic.

“Currently, the most popular in the branches of the Treasury Mint are bars and bullion coins weighing 1 ounce (31.1 grams), as well as 100-gram bars. gifts, and about the high divisibility of your own investment “- we read in the release.
