The match was originally supposed to take place on Thursday this week, but has been postponed due to limited police resources in London due to preparations for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral on Monday.
The new game date has consequences for the league, as Arsenal’s summit against Manchester City – the teams are currently first and second in the Premier League respectively – must be moved from 19 October to a later date.
“A new date for Arsenal-Manchester City will be announced at a later date,” the Premier League wrote in a statement.
