On February 8, the railway introduced a reduced timetable because it had numerous staff shortages due to the corona pandemic.
With the return to the regular timetable, the S-Bahn trains on the east-west axis between Kaiserstuhl and the Upper Black Forest will again run twice an hour on weekdays instead of just once. The normal timetable also applies to the Rheintalbahn. In individual cases, a high level of sickness could lead to the cancellation of individual connections, explained a railway spokeswoman.
There will also be short-term changes due to construction work in the coming weeks. For example, there will be replacement bus services between Freiburg and Müllheim this weekend on Sunday and Monday nights from 10:45 p.m.
