“In connection with the morning event at the Warszawa Zachodnia station, related to the acceptance of the Koleje Mazowieckie train on a different track than the one indicated in the timetable, the infrastructure manager informs that there was no threat to the safety of train traffic,” PKP PLK wrote in a statement. They explained that the train driver had a signal to proceed, which meant he could drive the train safely. “There was no other train on the track it was directed to,” they added.
The infrastructure manager ensured that the rail traffic control devices ensured safe travel of this train and other trains passing through the Warszawa Zachodnia station at the same time. The Commission will explain the circumstances of this and previous events. He has 30 days to do so.
