After her mother recovered the remains of a body from the jaws of a crocodile after it was killed in a stream in the US state of Florida, the homeless daughter, Sabrina Beckham, 41, insisted that her mother did not provoke the huge monster before it attacked and attacked her while she was on her way to the camp where she lives.
Beckham’s daughter, Breonna Doris, said in her mother’s defense that she was attacked by an alligator while walking to her homeless camp in a nearby wooded area.
“She was walking to or from the campsite near the creek in the dark when an alligator attacked her from the water,” Doris wrote in a Facebook post.
She also added, “Some details I would like to share are that my mother did not make fun of the crocodile as some say in media comments,” according to what the Daily Mail reported.
She also mourned her mother with great sadness and sorrow.
It is noteworthy that police investigations previously revealed that two months before her sudden death, Beckham was arrested on July 14 on charges of trespassing on land in the county, only half a mile from the place where she was attacked, and she was ordered to pay $500 for that incident.
Beckham reportedly ignored warning signs posted in the dangerous area, and pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge on September 8.
The crocodile was killed before being pulled from a stream in the US state of Florida, at the same time that Beckham’s body was recovered from its jaws, according to what officials reported, the day before yesterday, Saturday. Police said they responded to a report of a body seen in a stream in Largo, Florida, and that the 4-meter-long male alligator was “killed in a cruel manner.”
