Al-Marsad Newspaper: The father of the teacher, Wafaa Al-Ghamdi, who was killed by her husband last September in Jeddah, revealed the cause of the crime.
Crime details
Suleiman Al-Ghamdi, the victim’s father, said: “The perpetrator of a call through whom she was informed of the incident that occurred after she complained about him to the police after the husband pushed her during an argument that broke out between them after she reported him.”
He added: “That’s why he called her, why are you complaining about me, and why are you doing this? The knife was on the table, and what happened happened,” indicating that his daughter was returning from work at 1:00 p.m., preparing her and her children’s lunch, and this was her reward.
The victim’s eldest daughter recounted the circumstances of the incident, saying: “My father got a call from the police that Mama complained about him while she was in the kitchen preparing lunch. Then he beat the policeman who knocked on him, then he beat Mama, why are you complaining about me?”
And she continued: “After that, Mama entered the kitchen and locked the door, and all my brothers were sleeping, and they started screaming.”
And she continued: “I knew what was going to happen, because I was calling her to not respond, and there was no sound, so we were afraid and we knew what happened.”
I endured it despite his bad conditions
The victim’s father explained that his daughter Wafaa married him and his situation was bad, as he was receiving a salary of 1,200 riyals at his work in Makkah, and he had two sons, one disabled and the other young, and she raised them and grew them up at her expense.
The victim’s daughter added that her mother was the one who used to spend on the house and was very affectionate.
And she added that her father always beat her mother, and she was patient and silent for her and her brothers, and he dealt badly with them, beating like crazy, as if he was an abnormal person.
The placement of children in the study
The victim’s father pointed out that “the condition of the children is very bad, even their father did not visit them, and they do not want the children to see him after the accident.”
The victim’s daughter said: I was broken once and was injured and went into shock, but I do not want to show my brothers because I am the oldest and I want to show them that I am still strong.
For his part, the victim’s brother said, while fighting back his tears: “My sister’s children are in a bad psychological condition. Their level in schools and universities is bad. Her eldest daughter had a strong personality and endured the shock.”
It is noteworthy that the teacher, Wafaa Al-Ghamdi, breathed her last last September, in Jeddah, where the husband of the dead woman admitted to committing the murder in the first court session witnessed by the Criminal Court.
