“They actually gathered fighters in the courtyard of the house to give awards. All camouflage rules were ignored. More than ten cars were parked nearby,” Umerov wrote.
It is also known that at that time a Russian reconnaissance drone was spotted in the sky over the populated area. The military spotted it, and an air raid alert was announced in the area. The military was warned about the sector in which the enemy UAV was operating.
At the same time, immediately after the missile launch was detected, a “missile danger” signal was distributed.
“No centralized security measures were taken at the award ceremony. The investigation into this case continues. In particular, it is being conducted by the DBI. Everyone who is to blame for this tragedy will suffer the punishment provided for by law,” Umerov said.
He instructed the General Staff to check the implementation of security protocols in the units, and also called on the commanders responsible for the safety of soldiers not to neglect security measures.
Strike on the 128th Brigade
Let us recall that on November 3, in the Zaporozhye region, the Russian invaders launched a missile attack on a concentration of military personnel of the 128th separate mountain assault Transcarpathian brigade. The soldiers were gathered for awards for the Day of Rocket Forces and Artillery, at that moment an enemy rocket flew there.
The tragedy claimed the lives of 19 soldiers, and dozens of military personnel were injured. Law enforcement officers are already checking all the circumstances.
