Asia and Fiore Argento talk to Verissimo about the pain of the death of their sister Anna, who died in 1994 in a car accident.
Fiore Argento is the older sister and was born in 1970 from the marriage of Dario Argento to Marisa Casale. Anna Ceroli Nicolodi was born in 1972 from Daria Nicolodi’s relationship with the sculptor Mario Ceroli. Daria Nicolodi then had her daughter Asia in 1975 from her subsequent relationship with Dario Argento.
“I was alone at home when I learned of Anna’s death. I had to wait two hours before dad and Asia came back. I didn’t know how to say it, what words to use”, recalls Fiore.
“The first to arrive was my father who was shocked and locked himself in his room until the next day. Then Asia arrived and I had to tell her too”, adds Fiore Argento, 54 years old.
Asia Argento, 48, adds: “I was 19 and Fiore was 24. She had to carry the burden alone on that occasion because her mother wasn’t there, my mother wasn’t there, dad closed himself off.”
“We were in shock for months. On that occasion our parents didn’t know how to protect us, maybe they didn’t even know how to protect themselves, so they abandoned us to ourselves”, recalls Asia Argento.
