And at the age of just 35, he lost his life. And now the cause of death has emerged, writes B.T.
According to BT, a medical examiner confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that Ellingson died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl.
Ellington starred in a number of major films and TV shows in his youth, but it remains to be his last role for which he is best known.
He appeared in 18 episodes of the hit series ‘CSI: Miami’, playing Horatio Caine’s son Kyle Harmon from 2007 to 2010.
Additionally, he played the role of Jesse Fitzgerald in the 2009 film ‘For My Sister’s Sake’.
Ellingson’s father told TMZ that his son had been feeling better for a long time and that the death came as a surprise to the family.
“Evan was one of the most loving people who loved Jesus with all his heart. He had a child’s soul and a smile that lit up the room. He was always thinking of others and he did everything to give other addicts hope,” says the father of TMZ.
Ellingson was found dead on October 5 in his bed in the town of Fontana, where he lived in a home for people with a history of substance abuse.
