Writer Zakhar Prilepin in an interview with Politics Segodnya responded to the accusations made by the former DPR minister Igor Strelkov in an interview with Ivan Mironov. In it, Strelkov stated that Prilepin was promoting himself on the topic of Donbass, he was not on the front line with his “battle”, and generally came to the region only when it became calmer. Prilepin stressed that all this is not true.
“Igor Ivanovich is the tragedy of a Russian man, a Russian officer who drove himself into a certain situation and thus continues to discredit his name,” Prilepin said. He said that his battalion had suffered losses, being for two years in positions in the areas of Kominternovo, Horlivka, Mount Daring. The battalion was not only full, but also “plus ten men.”
Prilepin stressed that he was even more on the front line than Strelkov himself. And in general from the “front line” did not “get out” – and spent the night on it, and slept, and lived.
