The traffic police rescued the scooter passengers who were hit by a lorry without being crushed under the tyre

Kozhikode: The traffic police rescued the scooter passengers who were hit by a lorry without getting under the tyre. The two-wheeler met with an accident near the Malaparamp traffic signal in Kozhikode. It was the opportune intervention of Ranjit Lijesh, a civil police officer of Kozhikode City Traffic, that saved two lives.

The scooter was on the left side of the lorry waiting for the signal from Ramanatukara side. As soon as the signal was given, the lorry started moving straight ahead. The scooter, which was on the left, turned right and hit the lorry. Then the two women on the scooter fell down. The policeman who was on duty noticed the incident and rushed to the spot and dragged the two people without getting under the tyre.

The accident happened in January. The footage is now circulating on social media. Kerala Police has also shared the footage of the incident on their Facebook page.
