It should be remembered that before crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing, a pedestrian must make sure that exiting the roadway is safe, that is, stop at the edge of the roadway, look around, make sure that the drivers noticed him and managed to stop the vehicles.
When crossing the roadway, you must stop talking on your cell phone, turn off your headphones, and take young children by the hand. It is also recommended to attach reflective elements to clothing.
The State Traffic Inspectorate also reminds drivers that when approaching a pedestrian crossing they should exercise extreme care and extreme caution. You must drive at a speed that allows you to stop and give way to vulnerable road users if necessary.
The traffic police reminded that until October 30, the country is holding a preventive campaign “Don’t be invisible on the road.”
