Zhadi at your second wedding

Many people like the series “Clone” not only because of the famously twisted plot, but also because of the opportunity to look at the Arab culture. And although the creators of the Brazilian hit often sinned against the truth, the audience did not care much. They were much more interested in the traditions and customs of the Zhadi family.

The plot of “Clone” begins with the fact that the main character’s uncle wants to marry her and another niece Latifa to respectable Arabs from a family with an ideal reputation. Zhadi, brought up in the West, does not understand how one can marry a man whom she has never seen. She does not accept marriage without love, believing that first a feeling should be born, and only then you need to think about the wedding.

Latifa, on the other hand, was brought up in Morocco and, faithful to the traditions of her native land, from a young age she knew that one day she would marry a man whom her caring uncle Ali would choose for her. When Zhadi arrives at home, her cousin talks about how her engagement was arranged. The beautiful Latifa was noticed by Nazira Rashid at one of the soirees. Having learned everything about the girl’s family, she decided to offer Sid Ali to marry his niece and her brother Said. This is one of the most common ways to find a husband or wife in Clone. During the negotiations, the parties discuss various nuances – so it was decided that Latifa would eventually marry another brother of Nazira Mohammed, and Said himself would marry Zhadi.

Another option to arrange a wedding is to arrange the engagement of future spouses when they are still in childhood. This is exactly what Mohammed did when his son Amin and daughter Samira grew up. Worried about the future of the heirs, he found suitable people from Fez through his uncle Abdullah. At the same time, Mohammed himself did not see future relatives, everything was arranged by third parties.

Said did the same. Offended by Zhadi, he asked his uncle Abdullah to find him a second wife. At the same time, the main character did not want to know anything about his future bride, which surprised few people. Said himself did not really care until the very end about what kind of woman he was picked up – he just wanted to make Jade as painful as possible. But Rania, the same girl who was chosen for Said, was very worried during the wedding ceremonies because of the upcoming meeting with her husband.

Until the moment she met Rashid, the young beauty did not even know how old he was and what his appearance was. So the brides in the “Clone” often did not have the right to vote, and they could only avoid an unwanted wedding only by cunning.
