Heroes also found their place in Soviet animation.
Mass audiences became acquainted with Coward, Goofy and Experienced in the short film “Dog Barbos and the Unusual Cross.” After that, they starred in several more films, becoming one of the most prominent heroes of Soviet cinema. At the same time, few people noticed that heroes appeared not only in the works of Leonid Gaidai.
Thus, in 1969, the cartoon “The Town Musicians of Bremen” was released on the small screens of the country. In one of the scenes, the main characters encounter the Atamansha and her accomplices. And the robbers look exactly like the Coward, the Dunce and the Experienced.
The cartoon characters copy not only the general types of characters Yuri Nikulin, Evgeny Morgunov and Georgy Vitsin, but also the most noticeable elements of their clothing. So, both Experienced wear a long scarlet scarf on their heads, tied like a turban.
And, although the creators of the cartoon, Inessa Kovalevskaya and Max Zherebchevsky, never admitted their sources of inspiration, fans are sure that these characters appeared thanks to the films of Leonid Gaidai.
