The touch of Putra Indramayu in the grounds of the 2022 World Cup stadiums

Jakarta

Putra Indonesia plays an important role in making stadium grounds World Cup 2022. Saprudin Bastomia man from Indramayu, West Java helped to beautify the dance party venues of the world.

Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, is one of the places with the largest open green space in Qatar. The area of the park that houses the opening venue of the 2022 World Cup is 40 hectares.

There are many big trees with tens of years old planted there. With a construction time of around 6 years for the Al Bayt Stadium, due to open only in 2021, it is clear that the mast was moved at the same time as the works on the match venue.

To meet the need for plants, the Supreme Committee of Qatar has asked the citizens of Qatar to donate trees to make the 2022 World Cup a success. Saprudin has an important job as a selector of plants to be planted in the stadium.

“I am involved in plant selection. If there are Qatari citizens who donate their plants, I will come and make an evaluation. These plants will live or not, these plants are healthy or not, if they are in good condition we can plant them at the stadium.” , said Saprudin in a conversation with detik SportFriday (11/18/2022).

“The challenge is that winter is not a problem. Summer has to be made humid. In terms of construction, if you want to move it, you can’t wait. If the road is finished, you have to move it now.” he added.

How did Saprudin take part in the World Cup? The story begins when he still lives in Indramayu. At that time she lived among an orange farmer.

Many of the residents’ orange trees in their homes died and pollution from an oil company was to blame. Saprudin’s curiosity led him to enroll in the Faculty of Agriculture of the UGM, specializing in soil sciences.

“I have to find an answer to the cause of the death of this orange tree. This is what brought me to Qatar. After college, I found out that the cause was a virus,” Saprudin said.

Saprudin then received a job offer in Qatar several years after graduating. She got the information from a former colleague at a mushroom growing company.

Aspire Park, which delivered Saprudin, was able to get many connections in Qatar. For information, Aspire Park is located in the Aspire Zone. The area where the Khalifa stadium is located is one of the busiest in Qatar.

“Because Aspire Park was a national park in Qatar before. Whoever took care of the park must have become a target. People already know that Sport City has the highest standard of maintenance. If you have experience in Aspire, people will believe it definitely,” Saprudin said.

For his performance in park construction in Khalifa Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium and other places, Saprudin is grateful that his knowledge can be helpful.

“Yes, I feel there is useful knowledge. The goal is for the work to be in our religion as well as in worship, right. That’s a reward, right?” like Saprudino.

Now, Saprudin still has dreams that she wants to pursue. He wants to go back to Indramayu through the farming world. He wants to grow mangoes and produce by-products such as mango flakes or candied mangoes. Now Saprudin is becoming a landscape consultant.
