To admire it in Italy, however, we will have to wait for the deep night as our satellite will start darkening at 4.27 to then reach the peak at 6.11.
In the total phase of eclipse the moon will have already set and the sun already risen so the vision of this particular astronomical event will not be very easy.
Attention to another detail. We will probably not be able to see the typical reddish color that the moon takes on in the phase of maximum eclipse, but we will therefore have to be content with observing the first step of the darkening, which will also be very fascinating.

If we fail to see the eclipse we can make up for it with the vision of the most important planets: in fact, just before sunrise, they will be observable towards the East, Saturn and, to follow, Marteso Jupiter and finally Venus.

But why is the full moon in May called “flowers”?
The suggestive name was attributed to it by Native Americans and in particular from the tribe of the Algonquians who inhabited the present north-eastern USA, who already in distant times had noticed how the flowering of anemones, bell, violette and other species of flowers coincided precisely with the full moon of May.
