Testimony after testimony about the actions of Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) while he was Minister of Agriculture (Minister of Agriculture) appear at the hearing. Officials at the Ministry of Agriculture are said to face the consequences of job transfers if they do not comply with the request SYL.
Information regarding the effect of job transfer was disclosed by the Director General of Agriculture Infrastructure and Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture (PSP Kementan), Ali Jamil Harahap, in the trial of the case of extortion and satisfaction within the Ministry of Agriculture by the accused Syahrul Yasin Limpo, non-executive Director of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta, and non-executive Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono at the Jakarta Central Corruption Court, Monday (13/5/2024).
Ali announced that there would be telephone ‘terrorism’ if SYL’s demands were not met. The phone calls were made continuously by the non-acting General Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono.

“Regarding this request, if it is not met, are there consequences?” asked the KPK prosecutor.
“What is certain is that if he does not reach the appointed time, we will be called again,” replied Ali.
“What do you mean by calling again?” asked the prosecutor.
“For example, the Director General’s Secretary or we said, ‘Where is that, why hasn’t he come yet?’ Ali replied.
Consequences of Non-Compliance with SYL Requests
The prosecutor then asked if any officers had ever been disciplined for not complying with SYL’s demands. Ali also replied that someone without a job was given to him.
“So, to your knowledge, has anyone had such consequences for not complying with requests?” asked the prosecutor.
“What is directly related to that, we cannot answer. For example, in terms of performance, one of our directors was dismissed,” explained Ali.
The prosecutor then read Ali’s BAP. In the BAP, Ali admitted that he had to comply with SYL’s wishes.
“I complied with the request for money sent to Echelon I because I had to. Because there were several incidents if I did not comply, Kasdi Subagyono would keep calling until Syahrul Yasin Limpo’s needs were resolved’. Is that true? Is this your statement?” asked the prosecutor.
“Ready,” Ali replied.
The prosecutor then continued to read the BAP. The witness said that his subordinate was dismissed because he did not comply with SYL’s wishes.
“Furthermore, if it is still not resolved, they will be transferred and suspended. This happened as I got out to Musyafak. It did not meet the needs of Syahrul Yasin Limpo. he had to give what Syahrul Yasin Limpo requested through Kasdi Subagyono.’ ” asked the prosecutor.
“Ready,” Ali replied.
