A ranking by the Niche website revealed the best places to live in the New York City area, and interestingly enough, all roads lead to Nassau County, Long Island.
With an A+ rating for schools and families, the “top ten” is led by the Village of Great Neck Gardens. It also got A’s in nightlife, B+’s in housing, and B-‘s in diversity. In second place was Great Neck Plaza, ahead of Herricks and Syosset, who were third and fourth.
In fifth place was Kensington, which was also ranked as the best place to raise a family in New York, ahead of Syosset, the study said.
Already in sixth place, outside Nassau County, and even New York, was Bergen County, thanks to Ho-Ho-Kus, in New Jersey.
It was listed as the best suburb in the state, with A’s in almost all of its categories, except for “diversity”, with a negative B.
