The timetable change brings a better night network to the ZVV area

The night owls are happy: for the timetable change on Sunday, December 12th, the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV) has decided to expand the weekend night network – for example, Zurich and Winterthur will be connected every half hour. During the day, little changes in the ZVV network.

The new night network regime will come into force for the first time on Friday, December 17, as the ZVV announced on Monday. In the city of Zurich, the night buses will no longer depart from Bellevue, but from the main train station. In the nightlife area around Langstrasse, the night buses also run every 15 minutes.

In Winterthur, the night bus routes are being given new numbers and their timetable is being condensed every half hour. In the regions, the night bus routes will be adapted to the changed night networks in Zurich and Winterthur. To this end, new lines are being introduced and some of the return journeys to the centers will be made possible.

The daytime network is only adapted selectively. The existing supply is sufficient, and demand is still below pre-crisis levels, as the ZVV writes. A QR code is now printed on all stop timetables in the ZVV area, with which the departure times can be called up in real time. (sda)
