Reds should make official the signing of the Uruguayan forward in the coming hours
Darwin Núñez will earn something like 163 thousand euros a week at Liverpool, reveals this Tuesday the English newspaper ‘The Times’. The Uruguayan forward from Benfica is about to be made official by the reds, after having completed the medical tests today. The English club will pay Benfica 75 million euros, plus 25 in variables, so the player’s transfer could end up costing 100 million euros, the most expensive in Liverpool’s history. Darwin, who has committed to Liverpool until 2028, will earn much more in England than Benfica did. That’s more than 650 thousand euros a month, close to 8 million euros a year, according to the same newspaper.
The Uruguayan forward will receive more than Virgil van Dijk, the Dutch centre-back and one of the key elements in Jurgen Klopp’s tactical scheme.
