There are more ideas for change in football. After the proposal that was discussed two weeks ago, possible temporal penalties for offending players, now news comes from England that the IFAB will be considering putting on the table the possibility of expanding the influence of VAR, giving it the authority to also intervene in hitherto prohibited moves, such as corners, fouls and second plays yellow card. Until now, VAR could only alert the referee to decisions on penalties, expulsions and goals.

According to ‘The Times’, this possibility will be discussed this Tuesday at a meeting of the organization in England, which will also go through the current protocol and experience in the most varied championships and scenarios. No decision will be made from this meeting regarding possible changes, but if there is a positive opinion it is possible that this will be an important step towards that change, which could significantly change the face of the game for the future.
