IK Sävehof had the command for a large part of the match, but Ystads IF turned around and won the summit with 30-26. The handball channel has named the match’s three best players in the concept that we simply and clearly call “The match’s three stars”.
Three stars – Erik Hvenfelt
What an incredible jump in! Came in after just over half the first half and outshined both Niklas Kraft and Bertram Obling. Impressive of a player who has been away from games long after his concussion. Glued Pontus Brolin’s shot at the position 19-19 and stood for a nice arm parade on Elias Ellefsen a Skiptagötus breakthrough when it was 22-21, but it was straight through a fantastic effort by the young goalkeeper. 45 in save percentage, Hvenfelt stayed on.
Two stars – Jonathan Svensson
It could have been Johan Dahlin (nine goals in his comeback from the start) or Philip Stenmalm (top-class defense), but Jonathan Svensson barely made a mistake during the whole match and therefore he is placed here. Really good defensive play, several nice goals and also match-deciding ball thefts in the final stages of the match.
One star – Rune Schröder
Together with Sebastian Karlsson, Rune Schröder was the only Sävehof player who performed at an even and high level throughout the match. Nine goals were scored by the Dane, who has one of the toughest shots in the series.
