Sweden had nothing to play for in the last group game. For Hungary, the match was all about. The handball channel has nominated the match’s three best players in the concept that we simply and clearly call “The match’s three stars”.
Three stars – Jamina Roberts
Came in and showed that she is one of the tournament’s best attacking players. Could get to positions even though the game was not really there today. Found with insertion to the line a few times, but was best when she got through on her own.
Two stars – Jenny Carlson
Got more playing time today, when Sweden were already clear group winners. Made some mistakes in the defense when she came into situations late, but took the initiative in the attacking game. Scored 6 goals in a Sweden that did not manage to reach the level against a motivated Hungarian national team.
One star – Jessica Ryde
Took three straight penalties. Made some saves in the second half when Sweden tried to pick up the Hungarians’ superiority and contributed to counterattacks. Shows good form and competes with Bundsen in earnest now. Sweden has two good goalkeepers in this tournament.
