Unfortunately, this is not the first case, but it has happened repeatedly. From this point of view, Poland represents a considerable threat to Europe, because it cannot control its food industry and it happens that it exports a large amount of meat, which is dangerous.
It’s everywhere now
This is exactly what happened this time, as reported by an Austrian daily Krone. It was in Austria that a large amount of Polish meat arrived, which turned out to be riddled with salmonella. Dozens of cases have been recorded across the country where people got infected from this meat and had major problems. Unfortunately, the first victim of this infection was also recorded here, in the case of a sixty-year-old man.
All those infected, according to the Food Safety Agency, consumed chicken meat as part of a kebab that entered the country from Poland. Unfortunately, it also spread elsewhere in Europe. Hundreds of cases are reported by, for example, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Norway or Denmark. Many people ended up in the hospital.
It is not known whether this meat also reached the Czech Republic. But it cannot be ruled out at all. It is also interesting that most people seem to have contracted the disease from eating kebabs. There, two important factors could come together.

Sometimes it happens
For one thing, contaminated meat is the root of the problem. However, as stated by the State Veterinary Administration, the bacteria should be eliminated by proper heat preparation. However, the kebab is prepared specifically, when only its top layer is always heated, which is then also cut off.
Similarly massive outbreaks of salmonella occur here and there in Europe. And it doesn’t have to be just meat. A year ago, Kinder chocolate products had this problem, for example, when it turned out that there was a problem in production.
