The threat of blocking by vaccination card intensifies and the MAS is already talking about making the measure more flexible

The groups that oppose the compulsory nature of the vaccination card The threats to block roads and the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) intensified this Wednesday, in an attempt to lower the temperature of the conflict, He already talks about “flexible” his measure.

“We are seeing how we are going to make the requirement of the vaccination card more flexible so that no problems arise. At no time have we indicated that the vaccine has to be by force, rather it has to be the will of each one”, clarified the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Freddy Mamani, through a press release.

The Government promulgated decrees 4640 and 4641 that require you to carry your vaccination card, which means that the vaccine is also mandatory. Groups from El Alto and peasants from the La Paz plateau marched against these decrees and are calling for their repeal.

As a first measure, the Government postponed the obligation to present the vaccination card until January 26, but the leaders of the protesting sectors affirm that that postponement “is a mockery”, because after that date the document will be required again and they are against that requirement.

“We are not against the vaccine. Anyone who wants to get vaccinated, but they can’t force us to get vaccinated. We have come out of the three waves with our medicines and who is going to certify that for us?” questioned the leader of the El Alto Civic Committee, Gregorio Gómez.

The current government has been supported on different occasions by the residents of El Alto and the peasant sector of the rural area, but they are these two groups that resist the vaccination card.

The legislative authority went this Wednesday to the conscience of the people to get vaccinated and reiterated that this process is voluntary.

Meanwhile, justice has already ruled on two of the demands that citizens and groups filed against the controversial decrees. It is about the popular action presented by five citizens against President Luis Arce. The procedure was carried out in the Fourth Constitutional Chamber of Santa Cruz, which rejected the claim.

The same thing happened with another similar lawsuit in La Paz de five citizens that they appeared before the Fourth Constitutional Chamber of La Paz and were unsuccessful; The outcome of three other appeals pending in the two departments remains to be known.
