He pointed out that there are regions in Estonia where the infection rate has risen very rapidly.
“If we look at the forecasts until August, we see that there will be 150 infections a day in mid-August. It is all in the hands of our own people. For the most part, we are seeing an increase in the number of infections in Southern Estonia, ”said the head of the Health Department.
“The Department of Health has the most important and fundamental role in the delta strain [izplatības] restriction. The delta strain is the most infectious strain of the new coronavirus since the beginning of the global pandemic. The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population estimated by the Estonian Department of Health is currently 41.8. Two weeks ago, it was 30.9.
