The owner of the “Third Republic” initiative, Omar Harfush, stated that caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati requested the issuance of an arrest warrant against me, and it appears that there is an agreement between Mikati and Judge Samaranda Nassar.
In an interview on MTV, he said, “All I ask is to suspend the decision to arrest me so that I can enter Lebanon to defend myself, and if I come to the country otherwise, I will have thrown myself into the fire,” noting that “The Lebanese judiciary has become unfair, and the political authority is the one who controls it.”
Harfush revealed, “The European Union is about to issue a draft law next September that stipulates penalties against the corrupt in Lebanon and their collaborators, and there are two high-level personalities whose properties will be monitored, and what happened with them, as happened with the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh.”
