OnePlus Nord 2 exploded for the third time. This time the victim is a child – the producer is in constant contact with the family and covered the cost of the boy’s treatment. What’s next for smartphones on store shelves?
Though OnePlus Nord 2 just after the premiere, it promised to be a really interesting and profitable device, the smartphone has already made a bad name for itself in the last few weeks.
It’s all because of smartphone explosions that have occurred recently – the first one happened in August, a the second in September. Unfortunately, this is not the end of the losing streak. A few days ago, the media reported another outbreak.

OnePlus Nord 2 injured a child
Everything happened in India. The smartphone caught fire in his pocket pants on the owner’s bicycle. Worse, the owner of the equipment was a child. This time the case turned out to be extremely serious – OnePlus Nord 2 severely injured the boy’s leg.
Although so far the brand has either not recognized its fault in the case of previous outbreaks or has cautiously informed about the initiated investigation, this time the manufacturer has taken further steps.
OnePlus informed about covering the boy’s medical expensesand, of course, a refund for a faulty smartphone. The company’s chief operating officer is still in constant contact with his family – the victims will certainly demand high compensation. The damaged Nord 2 has also been investigated further to explain why the phone blew up.
So the situation does not look very interesting. Could the smartphone share the fate of the infamous Galaxy Note 7? The scale is still much smaller, and the manufacturer is not talking about withdrawing the smartphone from sale. The choice of the OnePlus Nord 2 seems to be increasingly questionable, however.
