12 Ukrainian soldiers were returned home, of which one was a female officer. The Russians also released 14 civilians, including 9 women.
Another exchange of prisoners took place today. It was possible to return 26 people to Ukraine, of which 12 were military and 14 civilians. This was announced on Saturday, April 9, by Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk on Facebook.
“12 of our soldiers are returning home, of which one is a female officer. We also released 14 civilians, including 9 women. A total of 26 of our people,” Vereshchuk wrote.
She noted that this is the third exchange of prisoners.
Earlier, Vereshchuk said that the Russian side sets such conditions for the exchange of prisoners: military – for military, civilian – for civilians. This caused embarrassment for the Ukrainian side, as Ukraine does not capture civilians.
Recall that in the Zaporozhye region on April 1 there was an exchange of prisoners.
