The head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Lyashko announced that today he will sign an order on the introduction of the third dose of COVID in Ukraine. This is just an additional dose, not a booster dose.

“Today I will sign an order that will approve the position of the national technical group of experts on immunization and will allow the introduction of an additional dose of the COVID vaccine,” the minister said.
He separately stressed that we are talking specifically about additional dose, not a booster.
“An additional dose is a dose that is administered with the aim of achieving better protection in individuals who, for their health reasons, have a low vaccine efficacy compared to the effectiveness of the vaccine in the general population,” he said.
