The Palacio Valdés Theater will resume normal activity tomorrow with the representation of ‘Fortunata y Benito’, a tribute to Benito Pérez Galdós written and directed by Laila Ripoll, one of the leading creators in the current panorama of the national scene. The show will start at 7.15pm, to adapt to time restrictions. In addition to the limited capacity, the entry and exit itineraries for people have been set inside. The representation is out of the theatrical season ticket and the tickets that are still available can be purchased at a price ranging between ten and twenty-two euros depending on the location.
‘Fortunata y Benito’ is the approach that Laila Ripoll has written and directed as a tribute to Benito Pérez Galdós, whose centenary of his death was celebrated last year. Laila Ripoll’s proposal arises in a contemporary setting. In the Madrid metro, a city that Galdós made his own as few writers have, the writer meets Fortunata, his immortal creation. From there, viewers will enjoy a tour of the Galdosian work, bringing it closer to the Spanish reality of the 21st century with the format of a musical composed with the music of Alberto Granados
In addition, the proposal that will be seen tomorrow has another element of interest such as the presence on stage of the members of La Joven. It is a project born in 2012 by the Young Theater Foundation, with the aim of bringing professionals in the performing arts closer to the educational community.
On the scene we will see interpreters such as Eva Caballero, Zhila Azadeh, Cristina Bertol, Yolanda Fernández, Julio Montaña, Juan Carlos Pertusa and Jorge Yumar giving life to the different characters.
