Yesterday at noon through a press conference, the official opening of the Independent Theater Meeting of Region 11 Central South of the province was held, which has Benito Juárez as its venue throughout this weekend.
The Atilio Marinelli Cultural Center was the place of contact with the media with the participation of the interim mayor María Teresa Ricci, the regional councilor of the CPTI Florencia Berruti, the director of Culture Roberto Latorre, the Secretary of Government Sergio Acosta and the councilors Gabriela Gonzalez and Cesar Marini. Subsequently, with a full room and the presentation of a children’s play that was attended by students and teachers from educational establishments of the primary level, the event was inaugurated, which will be held in addition to the Marinelli Cultural Center, in the rooms of the Center Cultural and Folkloric El Sombrerito and the Néstor Faré Cultural Space.
The meeting is organized by the Provincial Council of Independent Theater (CPTI) of the Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Department of Culture of the municipality of Benito Juárez in coordination with the Culture area of Unicen, the Faculty of Art and the Cultural and Folkloric Center El Sombrerito.
The Regional Festival of Independent Theater Region 11, includes municipalities such as Ayacucho, Balcarce, Adolfo González Chaves, Benito Juárez, Lobería, San Cayetano, Necochea, Tandil, Tres Arroyos and functions as a preliminary instance of the Provincial Theater Festival, from where In turn, those works that will represent the province of Buenos Aires, in the 36th National Theater Festival, will be chosen.
