Created on the initiative of Philippe Séguin, first President of Fondaction du Football, this operation is a call for applications aimed at identifying, supporting and promoting citizen initiatives already implemented by amateur and professional football clubs and players.
More than 200 actions have already been awarded in the last 12 editions, for a total allocation of 761,000 €. Among the good practices identified, certain actions give rise to generalization at the initiative of the Fondaction du Football.
The call for applications for the 2020-2021 season took place between October and December 2020. 238 applications were sent by the clubs, despite the impact of the health crisis on their activities.
In the “professional club” category, Toulouse FC won the trophy this year for its action “11 + 1 – The societal project of the TFC Foundation”.
The objective of the “11 + 1” action is to facilitate understanding and communication of CSR actions thanks to a monthly rate. It also makes it possible to modernize, structure and digitize CSR actions on the occasion of the 10 years of the foundation.
The number 11, the football symbol, is associated with the + 1 which symbolizes solidarity by encompassing all the entities that revolve around the club and who wish to get involved in the solidarity program carried by the foundation: its supporters, partners, sponsors, associations and institutions .
Each month, 1 cause is defended by the club and is supported by 1 professional player, 1 female player, 1 young person from the training center, ambassadors and 1 sponsor of the club via 1 product which makes it possible to finance 1 Toulouse association beneficiary of a donation from the foundation in proportion to the profits from the sales of this product.
The causes supported are varied to allow the program to address different audiences while responding to current needs in its territory.
As for amateur clubs, 16 clubs were named winners and 4 Grand Prizes awarded. The latter will receive a financial endowment from the Fondaction du Football.
