It is now official. The TFC presented its away jersey for the 2022-2023 season through a video on Wednesday July 26. Unsurprisingly, it is black and crossed horizontally by a line in warm colors illustrating emblematic buildings in Toulouse. There are the Capitol, the dome of La Grave, the Saint-Étienne cathedral, the Saint-Sernin basilica and of course, the Stadium, the home of the TFC.
“A true tribute to the Pink City and its emblems, this jersey is the link between the two identities of our city, which meet from dusk to dawn. Because Toulouse is a city with two faces, historically anchored, on the one hand, in a rural, hard-working culture. Mother of generations of workers from Occitania and elsewhere, who have always found in Toulouse a land of welcome for their projects to see the light of day, and because they get up early. And on the other hand, this city beats to the rhythm of its population, which lives on Spanish time. Joyful, festive, hedonistic and epicurean, who does not give herself an age, student or not, and who assumes her differences, her extravagances, who does not count the hours spent neither working nor dancing”, explains the Haut-Garon club in a press release.
But there was no surprise effect on the appearance of the TFC away kit. Indeed, this outfit leaked on the internet in mid-July. An incident to which the club has reacted with humor.
The “Portuguese nugget” of the TFC invited for the presentation of the away jersey
On the occasion of the presentation of its away jersey, the TFC invited Lucas Fernandes to the Stadium of Toulouse. The latter stood out on social networks by having been presented by mistake as a new recruit from the training center of the Violets.
He shared on Instagram a photo in which he wears the Toulouse home jersey at the Stadium. However, this shot is very similar to those made by the club to present its new catches. The young man was able to reproduce this photo with the new away jersey on Wednesday July 26.
