The TFC in the race, Rodez maintained, the Stadium out of breath … What to remember from the sports weekend in Occitania

If you missed the sport news in the last two days, La Dépêche du Midi offers you a remedial session. Meet every Monday morning on ladepeche.fr.

TFC wins its first final for the climb

After his victory against Caen 3-0, Saturday May 8, Tef still have two games to win against Pau and Dunkirk to hope to go straight up. There remains one condition that the club does not control: Clermont must not win against Caen on the last day. This match was above all an opportunity for the supporters to provide their support and to pay tribute to Christophe Revault, who died on Thursday, May 6.

The Toulousains were not the only ones to pay tribute to their former goalkeeper. Parisians and Rennais also honored a minute of silence before the shock of the day in Ligue 1. Canal + took the opportunity to come out at half-time of the match a sketch of Revault on Juninho. A video that reveals another facet of the former Toulouse goalkeeper.

Rodez is maintained in Ligue 2

By hooking his 19th draw of the season against Nancy (1-1), Rodez obtained his retention in the second division. The Sang et Or will therefore continue the beautiful story next year. Fans were certainly less numerous to welcome the players, but they were able to savor this good news in a complicated season.

Sad weekend for Stade Toulousain and Agen

If the football weekend smiled on Occitan clubs, the results were not there in the Top 14. Stade Toulousain was swept away by RC Toulonnais (44-10). Ugo Mola has certainly fielded a young team, but the copy returned did not give any satisfaction to the supporters.

Fortunately, they were able to have fun with the beautiful profile of the Stadistes in the locker room:

SUA still haven’t won this season and are sinking even deeper, taking a slap against Pau (7-47). Even the club’s loyal followers have completely given up. The end of the season seems unbearable …

It will be my last tweet before June 1st, I’m resting a bit after this trying season I’m sick of it. We can lose there is no problem, but at least we give everything even if we are less strong #suasp pic.twitter.com/1bm1y3RKaO

Castres saves the honor!

Fortunately, the CO continues its good series by winning against the LOU (37-29). A fifth victory in the last five games which puts them ahead of UBB and temporarily occupy 6th place. A comeback that gives hope for a magnificent conclusion.

What if Castres became the favorite in the finals?#COLOU

Toulouse Olympique XIII is a hit

Everything is fine at TO XIII! The Olympians are first in the Championship after the demonstration in Swinton against Widnes (70-0). And they also allow themselves to strengthen their workforce with a new recruit of size. Tony Gigot, the “Eric Cantona” of Rugby League has indeed joined the ranks of Toulouse. The road to the Super League is clear.

The club confirms the departure of Tony Gigot for Toulouse Olympique; all the members wish him the best for the future, under his “new” blue and white colors ud83d udd35 u26aa ufe0f
