This is not the first time that Tesla has published just a few issues that are really interesting, but it keeps the detailed technical details to itself. So far, we know that the Plaid variant is powered by three electric motors.

It can cover up to 840 kilometers on a single charge and accelerates to 100 in 2.1 seconds, a quarter of a mile is a matter of less than nine seconds. According to Musek, the maximum speed should reach up to 320 km / h.

The novelty undoubtedly goes directly against the new opponent. The Californian carmaker Lucid has also been rolling Model S parameters with its Air so far. To demonstrate the capabilities of the Plaid version, Musk sent a prototype to the US Laguna Seca track to beat Lucid by three seconds per lap.

The new Model S Plaid has already appeared in the Czech configurator, where it will cost CZK 3,789,900 without surcharges. There is also a visualization that indicates that the sedan will not undergo major design changes compared to conventional variants. However, in the footage from the circuit, Plaid has a more pronounced spoiler and other aerodynamic elements.

So the question is what the car will look like, which will be presented in full parade and which will arrive to the customer. Musk admits that the arrival of the fastest Tesla is planned “by the end of 2021”.
