“The Tesla Effect: Q1 Sales Skyrocket by 36%, Selling 420,000 Units with Success of Drastic Price Reduction”

[인포스탁데일리=김연수 기자] Tesla, the largest electric vehicle brand in the United States, sold 420,000 units in the first quarter of last year.

This is a 36% increase compared to the same period last year.

The reason Tesla’s electric car sales have increased significantly is because of the drastic price cuts made in January and March.

In fact, early last month, Tesla cut the price of its luxury models Model S and Model X from $5,000 to $10,000.

In January, we reduced the price of the Model 3 and Model Y while receiving a $7,500 federal tax deduction.

Experts are observing that Tesla, the world’s No. 1 electric car seller, cut prices and sales soared, and that companies that were pushed out of the competition may not be able to withstand the end.

When Tesla started to cut prices, other companies were forced to cut prices as well.

In fact, there are observations that the game of chicken in the electric vehicle market has begun.

In particular, electric vehicle experts analyze that Tesla’s price cut policy is directly hitting Chinese electric vehicle companies.
