Thus, in just one week, the cumulative incidence rate has gone from 311 to 166 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days, a reduction of infections by almost half.

The risk of health collapse has also decreased in the last week, and this Monday it has dropped below the barrier of 500 hospitalized (473), while there are 103 people in intensive care.

However, these figures remain high and the region continues in a “phase 2” of risk.

Faced with the opening of terraces in a good number of municipalities, Jaime Pérez has insisted on the need clients to keep the mask on as long as possible, removing it only to eat and drink.

He has also reminded businesses of the importance of not closing the terraces to avoid the cold, because if these spaces are not ventilated, the risk of infection increases.
