Dr. Samir Aref, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, stressed the importance of this meeting in the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic fields, increasing mutual investments and joint projects, and benefiting from the free trade agreement between Egypt and the MERCOSUR countries in increasing trade and investment exchange.

The two sides agreed to sign a protocol between the Argentine Embassy and the Tenth of Ramadan Investors Association to exchange information and enhance investment cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries, in addition to stipulating some items that include commercial tasks between Egyptian investors and their Argentine counterparts.

Argentina’s ambassador, Eduardo Varela, expressed his desire for more cooperation with Egypt, as he reviewed some economic potentials in some areas that Argentina enjoys, especially peaceful nuclear technology, and the great agricultural potential in some crops such as soybeans, yellow corn and wheat, in addition to the field of rot. And biological drugs and the industrial sector.

Dr. Mohi Hafez, a member of the Senate and Deputy Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, stressed the importance of the visit of the Argentine ambassador and his accompanying delegation in promoting mutual economic cooperation within the framework of the state’s plan to attract foreign investments, indicating that Egypt has already signed a free trade agreement with Argentina that makes mutual products between The two countries are exempt from customs, which enhances joint cooperation opportunities.

In a related development, the Board of Directors of the Tenth of Ramadan Investors Association accompanied the Argentine ambassador and his delegation on a tour of some of the city’s factories, where the Argentine ambassador praised the greatness of the Egyptian industrial castles, stressing his country’s desire to open broad horizons with Egypt during the coming period.
