The Tenerife Pablo Díaz wins the jackpot of ‘Pasapalabra’ and takes more than 1.8 million euros | Radio Club Tenerife

The Tenerife Pablo Díaz Sánchez has won this Thursday the jackpot of 1.8 million euros in the contest ‘Pasapalabra’ of Antena 3 after completing the 25 definitions of the final test of ‘El Rosco’. At 24 years old, he is also the contestant who has lasted the longest in the history of the space that Roberto Leal presents every afternoon, with a total of 260 programs.

The young man had 176 seconds to complete the famous test of the program and faced Javier in this final duel. Pablo managed to complete all the definitions of ‘El Rosco’ to win the hefty prize of 1,828,000, the third highest in the format.

“I have been preparing for a lot of time. This is more than an opposition. You make it have a great time, I feel at home”, thanked the participant after winning the ‘Pasapalabra’ pot. Pablo managed to complete ‘El Rosco’ after answering the last definition, that of the letter ‘X’: “It contains the ‘x’, in the republics of Venice and Genoa, prince or supreme magistrate,” read the presenter. ‘Dux’, replied the contestant, who tearfully celebrated the award.

Although he now lives with his parents in an apartment in El Retiro (Madrid), Pablo was born in Tenerife and was studying a master’s degree in violin in Amsterdam. From the age of five, he has received piano and violin lessons, eventually being awarded an award for the most outstanding student of the Chair of Chamber Music in the hands of Queen Sofía.

His passion for music comes from his family. His father is a well-known concert player and his mother, a children’s piano teacher. At the age of 16, Pablo prematurely began teaching subjects at the prestigious Reina Sofía School of Music.

Continuing with his musical career, the violinist has offered multiple concerts in different countries in addition to sharing his content on the ‘Youtube’ platform. The winner of the ‘Pasapalabra’ boat is also passionate about reading and words, which is why he was encouraged to participate in the Antena 3 contest.

Díaz had already competed in ‘Pasapalabra’ in 2017, at the age of 19, and was on the program for 47 programs until he was eliminated. On June 26, 2020, he returned to the space where he has now achieved the final prize.
