The wood was placed on the market at “top prices”.
The felling of 1500 solid meters is planned for 2022. One focus of work will be the maintenance of stocks in development. Traffic safety at the Gutacher Brücke up to the tunnel will be an issue. The Alpina company will secure the slope. The forest administration takes care of the forest. A road closure will be necessary in some form, possibly with a traffic light. Forest path maintenance will also be an important point in 2022. For the time being, he budgeted 5000 euros for the forest adventure trail. Funding opportunities are to be examined for this project. In any case, one is “away from many expensive stations” because of the vandalism.
Frieder Hepperle, head of the forest district Waldkirch of the district forest office, pointed out that the goals for the next planning period 2024-2034 would have to be formulated in 2022. “The Freiburg Forest Directorate needs this framework.” In 2023, the liming in the forest would start again in the district. Gutach will be included in this measure in the following years. “The liming makes the forest more vital and more stable to climate change.”
