The Ten Hag replacement was fired
Erik ten Hag’s replacement in Ajax, Alfred Schreuder, has finished as Ajax head coach.
This is due to weak results and lack of development.
Ajax is in fifth place in the Dutch league, having played seven games in a row without a win.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, they also managed to lose both Champions League games against Liverpool this autumn.

Rangnick assistant to Leeds
Chris Armas became a familiar face to us United fans as assistant under Ralf Rangnick in the latter half of last season.
The American disappeared at the same time as Rangnick, but now he will be seen in the Premier League again – at arch-rival Leeds.
The club confirms on its website that Armas is the new assistant coach under Jesse Marsch.
Shoretire debuted with a win
Shola Shoretire, who recently went on loan from United to Bolton, started his first game for the club yesterday. It resulted in a 1-0 victory for the team located just half an hour from Manchester, despite having a man sent off after just 28 minutes. The youngster also garnered praise from the local newspaper and ended up with 7.5 on the player exchange, with the comment: Had Bolton kept all the players on the pitch, this could have been an electric debut. He worked hard for the job and gave good prospects for the future.
Shoretire made his debut for United in February 2021, when he had recently turned 17.
28 years since the Kung fu kick to Cantona
25 January 1995 is the date Eric Cantona, wearing United’s black away kit, took aim and executed an athletic, kung fu-like kick on Crystal Palace supporter Matthew Simmons, who had bothered to run down from his seat in row 13 only to scold the expelled Frenchman. An absurd, yet iconic moment in United history. The punishment was 120 hours of community service and a nine-month ban from English football.
Erik Cantona has subsequently stated that he regrets one thing about the incident, namely not having kicked the supporter even harder.
📅 On this day, 28 years ago, Eric Cantona kung-fu kicked a Crystal Palace fan after being sent off at Selhurst Park 🥋

Spurs climbed closer
Tottenham had a potentially difficult game on Monday night, but they did as Ten Hags United did: won at Craven Cottage.
Harry Kane scored the game’s only goal in extra time of the first half.
Spurs are thus only three points behind United – but they have also played one more game.
Highlights:
Kit numbers confirmed for Riviere and Cascarino
United have signed Jayde Riviere and Estelle Cascarino (the latter initially on loan for the rest of the season), and now it has been confirmed which kit numbers they will wear.
Riviere will play with a uniform number 14which Charlie Devlin and Jackie Groenen have had in the past.
Cascarino will have a number that no one else has used on the women’s team after the restart in 2018, namely 29.
Lampard was fired
As expected, Frank Lampard has been fired as Everton manager, after a series of poor results over time.
West Ham won 2-0 against Everton at the weekend, and Everton are in 19th place in the Premier League, which must be said to be startlingly weak.
Former Everton men (and also United men) such as Wayne Rooney and David Moyes have been linked to the job at Everton, while Sean Dyche has also been a name that has been frequently mentioned.
United recently knocked Everton out of the FA Cup, and will be visited again by Liverpool’s pride in the Easter weekend (provisional match date Saturday 8 April).
#EFC can confirm that Frank Lampard has left his post as Senior Men’s First Team Manager today.
Paul Tait and Leighton Baines will take training until a new manager is appointed.
