The tempting promises of the Russians regarding migrant mobilization…

…Actually, this is not a “big” innovation…

According to the information obtained by SIA, the military intelligence of the British Ministry of Defense writes in its daily review that the Russian authorities are trying to attract citizens of neighboring countries to participate in the war in Ukraine.

According to the information, online announcements for those who want to enter the contract service in the Russian army have been published in Armenia and Kazakhstan, especially at the end of June.

The Russians say they will pay well. Thus, a one-time payment of 495,000 rubles and a monthly salary of 190,000 in the future are promised.

In addition, from May 2023, the Russian authorities are also making efforts to recruit migrants from Central Asian countries into the army. They are promised a high salary, as well as the acquisition of Russian citizenship in a simplified manner.

It should be noted that, as SIA wrote some time ago, the Russian authorities in occupied Mariupol confiscated the passports of construction workers from Uzbekistan and forced them to sign a contract with the army.

Most likely, Russia wants to avoid unpopular mobilization measures on the eve of the 2024 presidential elections.

It is interesting that today there is no information about how many foreigners are able to attract to serve in the Russian army.

It should be noted that the fact that foreign citizens from Central Asian countries are accepted to serve in the Russian army under contract became known last year.

It should be recalled that in October, two citizens of Tajikistan, who had joined the army under uncertain circumstances, opened fire on the training ground, killing and wounding more than ten soldiers.

Let’s also remind that today Central Asian countries urge their citizens not to sign contracts.

But what do you think, the tempting promises of the Russians and the funds they promised are pushing some of them to this path…
