In solemnity to San José, this Friday the Bishop of Tlaxcala, Julio César Salcedo Aquino, He officiated a closed-door mass from the Parish of San José, which has been closed to the public for more than 3 years as it was affected by the 2017 earthquakes, hence he said that the same as the temple Tlaxcala families are fractured because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Our temple located in the heart of Tlaxcala is nothing more than a reflection of what we are suffering, just as the temple is invoiced so are our families, our health and society … how many have lost their jobs, their health or are suffering prolonged confinement, so this time we present San José the pandemic situation, its consequences and its prompt reconstruction ”, he said.
During the homily, the hierarch of the Catholic Church thanked the director of the National Center for Anthropology and History (INAH) Tlaxcala, José Vicente de la Rosa, for allowing this celebration considered emblematic for the diocese of Tlaxcala, as he assured that it is the first cathedral in the state capital.
