The temperature will spring up in several places in the country

A high-pressure ridge is now on its way across the country, and according to StormGeo, it will provide a lot of nice weather with rising temperatures.

Monday’s weather winners will be found south of Stad, according to meteorologist on duty Isak Slettebø.

In Sørlandet and Østlandet, slightly cloudy, nice weather up to 24 degrees is expected, with some local afternoon showers over inland areas in Østlandet.

– This is where we get the warmest and driest weather, Slettebø says to TV 2.

Danger of forest fire

But little rain and a dry climate means that the meteorologists are now sending out a warning of a forest fire danger for Telemark and eastern parts of Agder.

– Vegetation can easily ignite and large areas can be affected, the Meteorologists write on Twitter.

Sun over large parts of the country

Also in Western Norway south of Stad, the temperature will probably reach 20 degrees throughout the afternoon. It will be warmest in the interior.

In northern Norway, mostly fine weather is expected, with temperatures up to 20 degrees.

In Nordland, an increasing southerly breeze is expected from the afternoon, while Troms will experience a somewhat changing breeze throughout the day. In addition, StormGeo warns of a precipitation area in Finland that may affect the areas furthest east in Finnmark with a little rain.

But here it will rain

Chopped further south, in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal, some scattered rain is expected through the morning. From the afternoon partly cloudy and partly nice weather. There will be breezes between southeast and southwest and rising temperatures up to 21 degrees in the afternoon, according to the meteorologist.

Over Longyearbyen, periods of rain are expected, southwest up in a fresh breeze, and around 10 degrees.

Long-term forecast

– On Tuesday, there will be a hot air tongue that licks the whole country, says Slettebø.

The hot air is due to a high pressure outside the Netherlands that pulls north towards Norway and Scandinavia.

And with that, the temperatures will spring up in several places in the country, according to Slettebø. Nevertheless, he points out that the summer heat will be short-lived in several places.

– The front – which carries hot air – hits the country early tomorrow, while the wind that comes afterwards will be much cooler, Storms meteorologist on duty explains.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be good and warm weather over large parts of the country, with close to 25 degrees in the lowlands, according to StormGeo.

In Western Norway, a low pressure from the Atlantic will draw into the Norwegian Sea with rain and rain showers and cooler weather, and from Wednesday also in Trøndelag and in northern Norway. According to Slettebø, the temperature could fall by 10 degrees in these regions.

– Eastern Norway comes cheap from it, and will go from being a little above normal daytime temperature, which on Blindern is close to 23 degrees, to falling a little below, says Slettebø.
