Twitter account ElonJet has over 205,000 followers and uses a robot that Sweeney developed to track Musk’s flights. The account then tweets when and where the aircraft takes off or lands, including the duration of each flight.

The college student has developed about a dozen other accounts of aeronautical robots that follow the journeys of high-tech titans, such as Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos.

Correspondence with a billionaire
According to the Protocol’s technology website, Elon Musk wrote the student’s first report on November 30, saying, “Can you stop? It’s a security risk. “
The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX eventually offered the teenager five thousand US dollars to help prevent the “fools” from watching his flights. But Sweeney told him he wanted $ 50,000, saying he could use the money to study at college and maybe buy a Tesla Model 3 electric car.

“Five thousand is not enough for what I get,” Sweeney said. “Nothing replaces it, such as the pleasure factor.”
The young man offered Musk some technical advice and told him about a blocking program he could use to fight flight-tracking robots.
When asked by CNN whether Sweeney is still able to track the billionaire’s jet flights, he replied: “I am. It’s just a little more complicated. ”
