The film ‘La strada’, directed by Federico Fellini (also director of great works such as ‘La dolce vita’), is being screened this Tuesday at the Teatro San Francisco at 8:00 p.m.
‘La strada’, Fellini’s fourth film, moves away from the director’s most intimate stage, creating a work of extraordinary purity and sensitivity. The film follows the characters of Zampanó, a traveling artist who loses her wife and buys her sister, Gelsomina, to be her new wife.
With ‘La strada’, Fellini achieved recognition from critics and the public, winning the Oscar for best foreign film and the Silver Lion at the Venice festival.
Tickets to see the film cost 4 euros and can be purchased at the theater box office.
