Synthetic presentation of research
My research focuses on the dynamics of urban territories in middle Europe, a Europe characterized for a quarter of a century by post-socialist structural transformations, integration into the European Union, and globalization. I question the impacts of this triple dynamic on the cities of this region, in particular in Poland. The issue of housing is at the heart of these trends: my work thus focuses on the historical factors of the difficult rebirth of a cooperative sector in Poland, and on the relationship between metropolitanization and housing production. I have devoted other works more generally to the Europeanization of territories in Central and Eastern Europe (social geography, territorial reforms for example).
