Long before I decided to engage in politics.” This is what Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said to journalists after congratulating the leader of the PP “Movement 21” – Tatiana Doncheva for holding their first congress. “The GERB does not take the money and does not take it to spend it”, commented the Prime Minister regarding the controversial loan of 16 billion BGN.
“I can tell you on the fingers of this hand what the state has to pay and you will see that even the 16 billion BGN – 12 million BGN – old debt and the other four if we pay them immediately, they will not be enough with about BGN 2 billion – BGN 300 million we have for trains – they have not been paid since 2006. Who will pay them?” asked Borisov. According to his words, since 2006, the Siemens trains have already become unusable, and the state has not yet paid for them, separately we have nearly 4 billion in the energy sector. “Without zeroing out the accounts in the energy sector, it is already a systemic problem,” Boyko Borisov was emphatic. “GERB does not take the money and does not take it to spend it,” added the prime minister, quoted by “Focus”.
There will be Easter supplements for pensioners, Boyko Borisov also announced. “Individually, despite the crisis, despite these holes in the budget, we gave Christmas supplements. Now our income is better in these two months, I have told the Finance Minister to prepare a decree for Easter”, announced the Prime Minister. According to him, the state will need BGN 50 million.
He pointed out that he is counting on politicians on these topics, on which things are clear, will not attack each other, because it is not fair.
“It does not suit us, as settled new people with tolerance, to go back again. Who accumulated all these debts in this year and a half? I take it as opposition that they used both or as supporting the opportunity to be heard. We’ve heard them, but that’s enough. Big misuse of these funds”, added Borisov.
He explained that they work well with Radan Kunev, Petar Moskov, Bozhidar Lukarski, Meglena Kuneva. “If I don’t trust them or there’s tension, it won’t be. I am most happy about the relationship I have with Radan Kanev at the moment. I think that both he and I have trust in each other, and this is a very important vector in our relations”, specified Borisov.
The Prime Minister stressed that the debts must be cleared because everyone comes with some request. According to him, the political class should start talking sense. Borisov also commented that the people are poor and sick because for over 20 years they have been eating the worst food, all kinds of drugs, experiments and all kinds of pollution. “The mayor of Sofia is here. Do you remember when I used to go up on the highway and show you “Kremikovtsi” what it earns – all the colors of the rainbow. This affects the human lung. That’s why we are the sickest. As you were passing through Stara Zagora, do you remember about the fertilizer plant, what kind of yellow smoke was blowing up? Doesn’t this affect the generation now? It reflects. Wasn’t it like that in Haskovo, in Vratsa? All the colors of the rainbow”, emphasized Boyko Borisov.
“Because we truly love our pensioners, and that’s why our previous government started paying the high pensions as soon as it came, and now I don’t want to give them the opportunity to practice on our backs, because we paid the pensions that they raised without have collateral. They did the same with the Ministry of the Interior – they adopted a law, raised salaries without any collateral and now we have to find this money. This is a vile and populist act. That’s not how it’s done. You lift without having any money and then you wait and watch the progress of others,” said Borisov.
