The task manager in Windows 11 gets a new design

The engineering student Gustave Monce has discovered that in the latest preview version of Windows 11, there is a hidden version of the Task Manager that has a completely new design. Something that was first noticed by The Verge.

The appearance of the new Task Manager follows the same bright aesthetics as the rest of Windows 11. A new side menu seems to replace the tabs that appear above the information bar in today’s Task Manager.

According to Gustave Monce, the new Task Manager should be in an early stage and not working yet. Its design may thus change. Even now, however, it should have support for a dark situation.

Microsoft itself has not yet introduced the new Task Manager. It is also unknown when it may appear in the standard version of Windows 11.

The last time Windows Task Manager was redesigned was when Windows 8 was released in 2012.
